I keep feeling impressed to share this, that perhaps this is a word for someone besides myself. Sometimes we wish & pray, with all our fervent longing, for things to be put right in someone else's life. We want to see them stop making a mistake they make over & over. We long to see them freed from an addiction that rules over their spirit. We want to see a temper & tongue curbed, that we see crushing the spirits of those around them. The prayer is directed outward, to benefit the life of another, to bring health of spirit, healing of heart. But when you pray-there is this first-God's desire is first to cleanse you before His answer will be released for another. Your sin, the fault you overlook in yourself, is the thing that hinders your prayer from being answered. Deal with that, before you look for his answer for another.
