She is absolutely adorable,isn't she?!! It's not just me being her Grandma,I know I couldn't possibly be prejudiced,could I? I mean,just look at those eyes!!That sweet little nose,the cute hand....CUTE! CUTE! CUTE!

It hardly seems possible but I actually do things besides baby-stuff-it's just limited.Yesterday,we had a BIG Day.Ariana had her Dr.'s appt. at 8:30 & surprise,surprise she was perfect in her weight gain! (hm,How can I get a Dr. who'd tell me to GAIN weight?!!!!) Summer switched over to nursing Ariana & baby was supposed to gain an ounce a day from 7lbs. she went to exactly 7lbs 7 oz.They made an error at the hosp.on her length,she was only 19 1/2 inches at her first Dr.'s appt. , now, she is a full 1/4 inch bigger!!! She is already opening her hands & can turn on her side (Yes,That is advanced development!)

Summer,Ariana & I got to stop at Dunkin' Donuts for coffee drinks-I think Ariana already likes "girl time"!!!

She also went shopping & out for lunch & had her first carriage ride to the neighbors! A big day for a little baby!

Which leads us to Erin ( Apologies,apologies, Erin I can't believe you haven't been on here way before this!! Remind me to snap pic's!!!!) Erin is Emily's older sister,Sum's neighbor/friend/charter member of Ariana's Fan Club!!! Erin was an original participant in "The Labor Party"! (She had a wedding to travel to on Ariana's birthday & wasn't able to be at the big event.)She is studying for early childhood education & works at a deli as well as visiting Sum & Ariana as often as time allows.Yesterday, I was her partner,for awhile, in some corny activities.Erin-you make work fun, you are sweet & funny & thoughtful & we love you!!!!
While my parents were up visiting,Erin visited with me & my Dad while Summer & Great Grandma had a little nap! Dad loves to try new things,he has a zest for life in him & we ALL love the stories of our family-so glad you visited, Dad! He shucked the corn for our dinner & that's always a job that deserves applause!! Thanks,Dad!
Mom,I see the young Mother you were when you look at the baby like that! How precious! I loved hearing some new memories of their childhood !! Love you, Mom & Dad!!!

My,My Baby-dom reigns.Baby is the first thought of my day.Can't wait to see that little face,tiny hands,rosebud lips...babies are sooo special!!! During this baby blur,my husband had quite the week .... AARP sent him an application....he just had to upgrade his bifocals....everyone at church greeted him as "Grandpa"... & he turned 50 !!!!! (Hee,Hee, just wanted to make sure you could see that, Grandpa!!) ( I owe you a Starlight cake with chocolate frosting, with those crunchy sugar decorations-it'll be the next thing I bake as soon as I get those sugar things babe-Promise!!!)

Great Grandma & Grandpa were able to stop in for a visit!!! Notice where their eyes are focusing!

Life is pretty much all about babies-the one who's here & the twins to come!!! Well,Grandma Jill, I'm afraid to say, isn't a very good Mother's helper....."How do you get those little tiny legs & arms into the sleepers,Summer??" And, " Mom, I don't think Ariana's getting anything from the bottle" Me- "Oh,yeah,I think she is, Sum" Sum- "Mom, I don't think she's sucking" Me-' No, Sum,I think she is,I think she's sucking" Pull bottle out again-still at same mark..."Here,Sum,why,don't you try? "Baby actually drinks!!
Me-" Summer,do you want me to get up with the baby during the night so you can sleep???......Me,waking up at 7 AM..."Sum-did the baby wake up last night??"
But I'm REALLY GOOD at cooking& cleaning & dishes & laundry.I'm really good at cooing,adoring, holding & getting things for Mom & baby-I hope I get to stay..... Ariana thinks I'm an astonishing baby rock-er,I'm pretty sure I get her vote to stay!!!!!

Today is Baby Come Home Day !!!!

Baby Love...we've got it! We 're absolutely smitten!!! Pretty much our lives have been revolving around waiting for Ariana's birth & then,her arrival. Which is just superfine with me!!!! I LOVE BEING A GRANDMA!!!WHILE WE WERE WAITING FOR THE BIG EVENT,I DID GET A CHANCE TO SEW A COUPLE MORE OF THESE REALLY CUTE BAGS! I'M HAVING ALOT OF FUN WITH THESE. THE AQUA TEAL BLUE ONE IS FOR ME. LOVE THOSE FUN & FUNKY PRINTS!!
THIS ONE IS FOR SUMMER ,IN SHADES OF PINKS,REDS & BROWNS.POLKA DOTS ARE REALLY IN NOW, THERE IS SUCH A VARIETY OF DOTS IN EVERY IMAGINABLE SHAPE,SIZE & COLOR COMBINATIONS.CAN'T WAIT TO SEW A FEW MORE!!!
JULY 31ST, BEFORE WE WENT TO THE HOSPITAL. WE FINISHED SUMMER'S BAG (ABOVE) DURING THIS TIME. EMILY & ERIN & I WERE THE ATTENDANT LADIES IN WAITING,AT THIS STAGE & TILL ABOUT 2 PM LABOR WAS A BIT OF A PARTY!!! AT LEAST, I KNOW IT WAS FOR EM,ERIN & ME!!!!

This bunny was on the door of the Maternity Ward-isn't he cute??! We have a little game we play,that I no longer know how it started or where it came from....On the first of every month,you try to be the 1st to say "Bunny!".We're a slightly competitive bunch,we've woken at midnight...we've used the phone....we've changed the rules to defeat the won- too- many -times- in- a -row person!!!! Guess who said "Bunny" first this time??!! And,I am already calling Ariana our "bunny baby"....(her Mom used to be Summer-baby or Summer-babes )
